About
An emergency kit is a container of essential supplies to keep your household and pets safe for at least 72 hours. According to the Government of Alberta, less than 20% of Albertans are prepared for an emergency situation. This redesign of existing government documents on how to build an emergency kit aims to increase the urgency of the campaign and make it more accessible through increased use of illustrations and a more relevant colour palette.

User Testing
The redesigned documents went through two rounds of user testing. A survey comparing the redesign with the original found that the redesign was successful at increasing legibility and emphasising the urgency of the campaign.
